Global online learning platform ReSkills EdTech has appointed Hock Mun as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Hock Mun first onboarded ReSkills EdTech in May this year as part of their Corporate Finance department and was named as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) two months later.

The Newcastle University graduate, who also possesses a Masters in Finance, Banking, Corporate, Finance and Securities Law from Taylors University, will be based at ReSkills headquarters in Malaysia, where he will be reporting directly to the company CEO.

Hock Mun brings a wealth of experience to this keystone position, which involves strategic and business planning, finance management, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and governance.

His role also involves overseeing the company’s Accounts and Corporate Finance Departments, maintaining investor and stakeholder relations, and well as ensuring partner compliance.

“I believe in ReSkills’s mission, and believe the company is going in the right direction by reaching out and expanding to places which have lower or restricted access to education. Education is the key to self-development, and builds the foundations for a better future,” Hock Mun said.

He is particularly driven to assist ReSkills in its current journey to be listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market.

“This is definitely something exciting for me. Guiding ReSkills towards a Nasdaq listing will certainly be a challenging and invigorating experience, which may also spark a breakthrough in my own career,” Hock Mun said.
